Soccer duo earn College Soccer News All-American status

Lexi Missimo, Trinity Byars earn second All-American honor of the 2023 offseason
AUSTIN, Texas – Seventeen days after being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-American lists, The University of Texas' Lexi Missimo and Trinity Byars picked up additional All-American honors as College Soccer News has released its 2023 All-American lists.
Missimo, who became the first student-athlete in program history to record a 20-goal, 20-assist season, was selected to the publication's first team, while Byars, who ranked in the top five in the country in total assists (14), total goals (18) and total points (50), was appointed to the second team.
The duo of Missimo and Byars were the only pair of Division I women's soccer teammates to score 50-or-more points each — Missimo (72), Byars (50) — this season and were the only pair of teammates to combine to score 100-or-more (122) points this season. The two Longhorn student-athletes were also the only pair of teammates to score 18-or-more goals each — Missimo (26), Byars (18) — this season, while also being the only pair to be credited with 14-or-more assists each — Missimo (20), Byars (14) — in 2023.
