Texas-exes Kaitlyn Papp Budde, Sophia Schubert earn LPGA Tour membership

AUSTIN, Texas — Former Texas women's golfers Kaitlyn Papp Budde and Sophia Schubert earned LPGA Membership for 2024 through the 2023 LPGA Q-Series on Wednesday.
The tournament consisted of six rounds from Nov. 30-Dec. 6 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Magnolia Grove – Crossings Course. The top 45 and ties earned LPGA membership for 2024.
Papp Budde shot 11-under-par over the six rounds and finished T27 on the leaderboard. Schubert carded nine-under-par and finished T38 on the leaderboard.
Papp Budde, who played for the Longhorns from 2017-21 was a three-time All-American at Texas, including First Team honors in 2019 and 2020. She was the 2018 Big 12 Player of the Year and holds the UT women's golf record for career stroke average.
Schubert was the 2017 U.S. Women's Amateur Champion and a two-time All-American at Texas. Schubert ranks second on the UT all-time list for career stroke average. Schubert finished in second place at the 2023 Evian Championship on the LPGA Tour.
