Women’s Golf’s Farah O’Keefe wins Curtis Cup with Team USA

O’Keefe finished the week with a 5-0 record.
LOS ANGELES — Farah O'Keefe played in every session and helped Team USA win the 44th Curtis Cup on Sunday at Bel-Air Country Club.
Team USA won the Curtis Cup by a score of 13-7 and won six of the eight singles matches on Sunday.
O'Keefe finished the week with a 5-0 record and became the fourth player under the current format (started in 2008) of the Curtis Cup to have a perfect 5-0 record. She joined Kristin Gillman, Bronte Law and Stacy Lewis among players to go 5-0 in the Curtis Cup.
O'Keefe made a birdie on 18 on Friday in the first session to secure a point for Team USA and she clinched the Curtis Cup for Team USA with a par on 17 on Sunday.
"It's not every day that you get to represent your country, especially in a Curtis Cup," O'Keefe said. "The excitement and the joy and how pumped I am to be here will never be taken away and the good attitude will never be taken away. This is such a great opportunity and it's so fun to play with these girls."
Isla McDonald O'Brien, who played for Great Britain & Ireland has recently signed with Texas. McDonald O'Brien helped secure a point for GB&I with a win in Friday Foursomes.
