Longhorns improve to 11-2 in Big 12 play with victory over TCU.
AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas women's basketball team held TCU to 32.6 percent shooting in a 70-50 victory on Saturday at Moody Center before a crowd of 6,877 fans.
For the 16th time this season Texas (20-6, 11-2) held an opponent to 59 points or less. The Longhorns are 16-0 when achieving that mark.
Taylor Jones recorded her second double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Jones and DeYona Gaston combined for 31 points and shot 14-24 (58.3 percent). Shaylee Gonzales scored 16 points and added seven rounds and six assists and Rori Harmon contributed 12 points and four assists. Harmon now has 150 assists for the season.
Up next the Longhorns will have a quick turnaround as they travel to Ames, Iowa for a game against Iowa State on Monday, February 13 at 6:00 PM CT on ESPN2.
