Up next the Longhorns compete in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, S.C., February 27-March 1.
Texas head coach Ryan Murphy
"Palos Verdes is a tough start for us each spring. Lots of ups and downs on the golf course, different grasses and tons of wind. The course can humble you if you are off just a little bit. It's good in that it shows us what we need to work on. And, most courses will seem a bit easier going forward. I'm very proud of our effort today. Cindy's 70 was terrific and our team total was solid in the conditions. Obviously, Sophie's entire tournament was strong. Having a very good chance to win against that field is simply outstanding. Super proud of Sophie!"
