No. 8 Women’s Golf moves up to fourth place after two rounds of Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Texas women's golf shot the second-best round of the day to move up the leaderboard on Tuesday in round two of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club.
After an opening round of 295, the Longhorns shot a 2-over 286 on day two. Texas sits in fourth place on the leaderboard at 13-over for the tournament. South Carolina leads all teams at 1-under and LSU (+3) and Auburn (+9) round out the top three.
Sophie Guo was the top performer for Texas in the second rounds with a 1-under 70.
Texas will play with Vanderbilt and Wake Forest tomorrow in the final round. The Longhorns will tee off hole one starting at 9:20 a.m. CT on Wednesday.

• Angela Heo carded three birdies on the front nine on the way to a 1-over 72.
