White defeats Orange, 21-10, in Football Spring Game

Quinn Ewers threw for 195 yards and one touchdown to lead Team White to victory.
AUSTIN, Texas – Quinn Ewers completed 16-of-23 passes for 195 yards and one touchdown to help the Team White defeat Team Orange, 21-10, at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
KEY STATISTICS
- Team White scored first with a 1-yard touchdown run by CJ Baxter to close out the side's second drive of the game. The drive was sparked by a Ewers to Xavier Worthy 46-yard pass that set White up at the Orange 6-yard line to make it.
- Team Orange got on the scoreboard in the second quarter with a 27-goal field goal from Will Stone to close out an 11-play, 68-yard drive and close the gap to 7-3. The drive was highlighted by a deep pass along the left sideline from Maalik Murphy to Ky Woods that went for 35 yards, followed by a 14-yard pass from Murphy to DeAndre Moore Jr. that set Orange up at the White 25-yard line.
- Team White responded with a nine-play, 75-yard touchdown drive that culminated with a thrilling Jaydon Blue 31-yard touchdown run to put White up 14-3.
- On Team White's next drive, Adonai Mitchell made a one-handed catch in the end zone to put his side up 21-3 heading into the half.
- Team Orange closed out the scoring in the third quarter when Murphy connected with Johntay Cook II for a 79-yard touchdown to make the score 21-10.
The Orange-White Spring Game marks the end of spring practice for the Longhorns, who now turn their attention toward summer workouts before the 2023 season kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 2 against Rice at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium.
