The Longhorns earned a pair of victories on the springboards and set two pool records.
RALEIGH, N.C. – No. 9 Texas Men's Swimming and Diving fell to No. 3 NC State, 130-92, on Friday evening at the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center. The Longhorns collected four victories on the evening, including a sweep of the springboards and a pair of pool records.
Texas Diving opened the day with Noah Duperre and Nick Harris going 1-2 on three-meter. Duperre won it with 415.73 points, just ahead of Harris' 414.98 points.
The duo reversed the order on 1-meter with Harris winning it with 393.53 points and Duperre taking second with 380.10 points.
Luke Hobson swam a 200 free season-best and set a pool record with a swim of 1:31.88, the third-fastest swim in this season in the NCAA.
In his first competition with the Longhorns this season, Jake Foster added another pool record with a swim of 51.33 in the 100 breast, the fastest time in the NCAA this season.
Team Notes
- Three Longhorns joined Duperre and Harris in the top-six on 3-meter with Brendan McCourt (408.73) and Tanner Braunton (388.88) notching season highs to place fourth and fifth, respectively, and Manuel Borowski (368.33) finishing sixth.
- The 200 medley relay of Will Modglin, Foster, Nate Germonprez and Camden Taylor took second with a time of 1:24.41.
- The Horns went 1-2 in the 100 breast with Will Scholtz earning the runner-up result in 52.67 behind Foster.
- Coby Carrozza took third in the 200 fee (1:34.22) and Cole Crane finished third in the 100 fly (46.25).
- Germonprez added a second-place in the 200 IM with a time of 1:44.40 and Foster placed third in 1:45.46.
- UT added runner-up results in the 200 free with Hobson's swim of 4:16.34 and in the 100 back with Modglin's time of 45.87.

Texas concludes the road trip on Saturday in Durham, N.C. with a dual meet against Duke. Diving beings at 9 a.m. CT and swimming at 10 a.m. CT.
