No. 7 Volleyball’s Singletary named SEC Player of the Week

The Longhorn middle blocker averaged 3.00 blocks per set in a pair of conference sweeps.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 7 Texas Volleyball's Marianna Singletary was named the SEC Player of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Singletary had a dominant week at the net, averaging 3.00 blocks per set in a pair of conference sweeps and setting new career highs in the process. For the week, Singletary had 18 total blocks and 13 kills with wins over South Carolina and Florida.
In the sweep of South Carolina on Wednesday, Singletary tied her career-high with eight block assists and added eight kills with a .333 hitting percentage. Singletary set another career-high in Sunday's road sweep of then-No. 18 Florida, with 10 total blocks (two solo) and five kills on just nine swings.
The Longhorns will head back on the road this weekend to face No. 12 Kentucky on Sunday at 12 p.m. CT.
