AUSTIN, Texas — Six players scored in double figures as the No. 4 Texas women's basketball team won their 13th straight home opener on Sunday at Moody Center.
The Longhorns (1-0) outscored SEMO 66-29 in the first half and 53-18 in the second half for the victory.
Playing in her first game in 326 days after a season ending knee injury, Rori Harmon returned with 10 points, seven assists, four rebounds and a pair of steals.
Kyla Oldacre led all scorers with 21 points and added 14 rebounds for a double-double. Madison Booker posted a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds and added six assists. Taylor Jones added 18 points on 8-of-8 shooting from the field. Bryanna Preston (11), Shay Holle (11) and Rori Harmon (10) also reached double digits.
Texas closed the opening quarter with a 7-0 run to go up 34-15 and used a 12-0 spurt in the second quarter to increase their lead to 58-24. The Longhorns held SEMO to eight points in the third quarter and 29.5 percent shooting from the field for the game.
Up next the Longhorns host Lamar on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 7:00 p.m. CT at Moody Center. The game will be televised on SEC Network+
