No. 4 Women’s Basketball picks up 91-61 road win at DePaul

CHICAGO — Taylor Jones recorded a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds and the No. 4 Texas women's basketball team earned a 91-61 win at DePaul on Sunday night.
Madison Booker and Laila Phelia scored in double figures with 10 points each and Rori Harmon scored seven points and dished out nine assists. Harmon moved into fourth on the Longhorns all-time list for career assists and now has 525.
Texas (3-0) has now scored 20 or more points in all 12 of their quarters this season.
In the first quarter Harmon jumped into the passing lane and sprinted down the court to lay it in to put the Longhorns up 17-9. Texas forced DePaul into nine first quarter turnovers.
Jordan Lee connected on a pair of free-throws to put Texas up 69-40 with 51 seconds to go in the third quarter. The pair of free-throws gave Texas nine straight points in the game.
The Longhorns shot 39-of-76 (51.3 percent) from the floor and forced DePaul into 25 turnovers.
Up next Texas will host Tarleton State on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 11:00 a.m. CT at Moody Center.
