No. 4 Women’s Basketball wins 83-41 over Tarleton State on kids day

AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas women's basketball team improved to 4-0 on the season with an 83-41 victory over Tarleton State on Wednesday at Moody Center.
The Longhorns hosted their annual Forty Acres Field Trip game with over 5,000 kids in attendance.
Madison Booker led the Longhorns in points and assists recording 25 points and three assists. Two other Longhorns followed behind Booker with double digits, Shay Holle with 14 points and Rori Harmon with 11 points. Kyla Oldacre recorded double digits in rebounds with 10 total and added nine points.
Opening the game, Texas forced ten Tarleton State turnovers to finish the first quarter with a 31-10 lead, allowing zero Tarleton field goals in 4:32 of game time. Texas ended the opening half with sophomore Forward Madison Booker recording 20 points propelling the Longhorns to a 30-point lead.
To start the fourth quarter, Madison Booker connected on a pair of free-throws to put Texas up 72-36. Texas went on a 6-0 run in the last few minutes of playing time to finish with a 42-point victory.
Texas dominated the paint with 38 points, only allowing 16 for Tarleton State. With 29 Texan turnovers, the Longhorns converted 35 points off turnovers.
The Longhorns travel to Florida next week to face New Mexico State at the Gulf Coast Showcase on Friday, November 29 at 6:30 p.m CT.
