Texas Country pioneers will be joined by Mason Lively on the LBJ Lawn prior to Texas Football’s regular season home finale versus Kentucky
AUSTIN, TEXAS – Texas Athletics is thrilled to announce Josh Abbott Band will headline Longhorn City Limits presented by Still Austin Whiskey Co. on Saturday, November 23 prior to Texas Football's regular season home finale versus Kentucky. Located on the LBJ Lawn, rising country artist Mason Lively will kick off LCL prior to Josh Abbott Band taking the stage. Admission is FREE for Longhorn City Limits concerts all season long.
Formed in 2006, Josh Abbott Band has become a beloved staple in the Texas music scene, captivating fans with hits like "Oh, Tonight" featuring Kacey Musgraves, "Wasn't That Drunk" with Carly Pearce, and "Hangin' Around." With their relentless touring spirit and a sound that has evolved into a powerful mix of authenticity and innovation, JAB has earned countless accolades including Texas Country Band of the Year and multiple honors from the Academy of Texas Music Awards.
Josh Abbott Band's seventh studio album Somewhere Down the Road showcases a bold new direction, blending intricate arrangements with the raw vitality of a freewheeling bar band. Produced by the acclaimed Dwight A. Baker, the album features deeply personal songwriting that reflects Abbott's growth as an artist. As the co-founder of the celebrated supergroup The Panhandlers, Abbott's legacy in Texas music is undeniable. With multiple Billboard-charting singles and a commitment to crafting songs with emotional depth, JAB remains a prominent force in country music.
Joining Josh Abbott Band on the LCL lineup is country/Americana artist Mason Lively. A native Texan, Mason grew up in a country music atmosphere, obsessively listening to artists far beyond his years including Willie Nelson, The Eagles, and Merle Haggard to name a few. In 2018, he released his debut album Stronger Ties followed by his sophomore self-titled album in 2021, co-produced by Wade Bowen. Now based in Austin, Lively just released his third and most raw album to date, Burn The Ground. With a wildfire-like fanbase that's growing, thousands of shows under his belt, and the support of his fellow artists and mentors, it's safe to say that Mason Lively is going places in country music and beyond!

Mason Lively will hit the stage at 11 a.m. followed by Josh Abbott Band at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Returning to LCL on November 23 is the fan-favorite postgame silent disco. Featuring three live DJs, fans who attend will receive a pair of wireless headphones and the ability to choose between three different channels.
Fans ages 21-and-up can once again enjoy signature experiences at Longhorn City Limits including the Still Austin Music Lounge. Serving up a full menu of refreshments including the Still Austin Horns Up Bourbon Lemonade on ice, the lounge provides relaxation in a shaded area while enjoying the show. Fans won't want to miss surprises and limited-edition swag curated by Still Austin Whiskey Co, the homegrown grain-to-glass craft distillery using 100% Texas grains.
Also returning to LCL is the Tito's Tailgate located in front of the LBJ Fountain. The area features refreshing Tito's cocktails on tap, shaded views of the stage, and misting stations that provide the perfect spot to hang and stay cool while tailgating in real Texas fashion. New this season, Pinkerton's BBQ will be serving up barbecue on the LBJ Lawn on gamedays. Recognized by Texas Monthly as a "Top 50 BBQ Joint" from 2017-2024, this marks Pinkerton's first satellite location in Austin.
Concert goers can also enjoy pregame happy hour pricing featuring select $5 domestic and $6.50 premium beers at Longhorn City Limits.
