• BACK AT GULF COAST SHOWCASE: The Longhorns are back in the Gulf Coast Showcase for the first time since the 2018-19 season. At that event the Longhorns won the tournament with victories over Quinnipiac, Michigan and Fordham.
• OFFENSIVE PRODUCTION: The Longhorns are averaging 97.0 points per game, which ranks fourth in the NCAA. Texas leads the SEC and ranks fourth in the country in field goal percentage at 52.8 percent from the field. Texas ranks second in the NCAA in scoring margin this season at +45.3.
• PRESEASON HONORS: Madison Booker was selected the Preseason SEC Player of the Year by the league's coaches. Booker and Rori Harmon were selected to the Preseason All-SEC team. In addition, Booker earned recognition as one of only five players to be named a Preseason AP All-American.
• 40 YEARS FOR SCHAEFER: Texas head coach Vic Schaefer enters his 40th year in coaching this season with 20 years as a head coach. Schaefer has a 111-32 mark with the Longhorns and has 412 career wins.
•RORI HARMON CLIMBING ASSIST LIST: Senior point guard Rori Harmon has moved into fourth on the Longhorns all-time career assist list with 527. Harmon is 11 assists from moving into third on the all-time list.
• HORNS ON D: Texas held opponents under 40 percent shooting in 23 games last season and were 22-1 when doing so. The Longhorns rank sixth in the NCAA this season in turnovers forced per game (28.75) and second in turnover margin (15).
