• HOME OPENERS: Texas has won their last 12 home openers going back to the 2012-13 season.
• IN THE MOOD: The Longhorns begin season three in Moody Center. Texas has posted a 32-5 record at their new home arena in the past two seasons.
• 2024 BIG 12 CHAMPIONS: The Longhorns captured the 2024 Big 12 Tournament Championship and now move to the SEC. Texas has advanced to the Elite Eight in three of the last four seasons.
• PRESEASON HONORS: Madison Booker was selected the Preseason SEC Player of the Year by the league's coaches. Booker and Rori Harmon were selected to the Preseason All-SEC team. In addition, Booker earned recognition as one of only five players to be named a Preseason AP All-American.
• 40 YEARS FOR SCHAEFER: Texas head coach Vic Schaefer enters his 40th year in coaching this season with 20 years as a head coach. Schaefer has a 109-32 mark in four seasons with the Longhorns and has 410 career wins.
•RORI HARMON RETURN: Rori Harmon returns to the court after her season ending injury last year. Harmon is fully cleared and ready to be back on the court with her teammates. Harmon ranks fifth in UT history in career assists with 501 and is 75 points away from 1,000 points for her career.
• HORNS ON D: Texas held opponents under 40 percent shooting in 23 games last season and were 22-1 when doing so. 26 times the Longhorns had an opponent to single digits in a quarter in the 2023-24 season.
