No. 6/6 Women’s Basketball uses depth in 111-49 win over La Salle

Six players score in double figures for the Longhorns in the victory.
AUSTIN, Texas — Six different players scored in double figures as the Texas women's basketball team ran away from La Salle, 111-49 on Tuesday at Moody Center.
Kayla Oldacre led the Longhorns (11-1) with 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field and grabbed nine rebounds. Taylor Jones posted her third double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Justice Carlton came off the bench to score 17 points. Carlton added six rebounds, four steals and two assists. Rori Harmon scored 10 points and dished out six assists.
Bryanna Preston played 23 minutes and tallied 11 points, five assists and two rebounds.
In the second quarter the Longhorns used an 18-3 run to create separation from La Salle and led 57-21 at the half. Texas outscored La Salle 38-9 in the second period.
The Texas defense held La Salle to 15-of-57 (26.3 percent from the field). The Longhorns held the Explorers to single digits in both the second and third quarters. Texas outscored La Salle 71-17 in the second and third quarters combined.
