November’s Hook ‘Em’s Community Heroes: featuring Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda, Women's Basketball, and Kadin Shedrick, Men's Basketball.
AUSTIN, Texas – Together with Truist, congratulations to November's Hook 'Em's Community Heroes: from Women's Basketball, Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda, and from Men's Basketball, Kadin Shedrick.
Ndjakalenga is an avid supporter of leadership development and recognizes the importance it can have for the youth in her community.
"It's important for me to contribute to the community and give back to those in need because we all are trying in this world. I want to treat everyone how I would want to be treated."
Kadin has been working with the special needs community since his youth and continues to be involved as volunteer and advocate.
"This is an important cause for me because ever since I was in elementary school I've been working with the special needs community around me to help them feel included. Many of these kids have special talents and skills that amaze me. I enjoy watching the kids grow as people and in areas of life that they enjoy."
In recognition of their causes, Truist is proud to donate $500 each to organizations that provide access to leadership development and special needs inclusion.
