No. 2 Women’s Swim & Dive sweeps five events on day three of Big 12 Championship

Texas has won all 11 events through the first three days of the championship meet.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – No. 2 Texas Women's Swimming & Diving swept five events on the third day of competition at the Big 12 Conference Championship on Thursday at The Aquatic Center at Mylan Park. The Longhorns have won all 11 events through the first three days of competition.
Hailey Hernandez started the Longhorns off with a victory on 1-meter springboard, winning the event for the third-straight year. The junior scored 358.35 points to win by almost 18 points.
Emma Sticklen followed with a Big 12 title in the 100 fly, winning with a swim of 50.61 to lead a Texas sweep of the event. Olivia Bray was the runner-up in 50.80, while Ava Longi touched the wall third with a swim of 52.28.
Freshman Campbell Stoll paced another podium sweep for the Longhorns, winning the 400 IM with a season-best 4:07.14, moving to No. 13 in the nation this season and climbing to fifth on Texas' all-time performer list. Alicia Wilson claimed the silver with a swim of 4:09.04, rising to seventh on UT's all-time performer rankings, while freshman Angie Coe swam a 4:09.38 to win the bronze.
Texas closed out the individual swims by taking the top-four spots in the 200 free. Kelly Pash was the victor, touching the wall in 1:42.97 to claim the gold, while Erin Gemmell won silver in 1:44.34 and Erica Sullivan earned the bronze in 1:46.39. Emma Davidson rounded out the Longhorn performances with a swim of 1:47.02 to finish fourth.
The Longhorns wrapped up the night with a victory in the 400 medley relay. Bray, Anna Elendt, Sticklen and Pash cruised to a win in 3:27.18, the seventh-fastest performance in program history.
The Big 12 Championship resume on Friday with prelims beginning at 9:00 a.m. CT and finals starting at 5:00 p.m. CT. The final session will be streamed live on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
