Texas established three championship meet and pool records.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – No. 2 Texas Women's Swimming & Diving swept five events and established three meet and pool records on day four of the Big 12 Conference Championship on Friday at The Aquatic Center at Mylan Park. The Longhorns have won all 16 events through the first four days of competition.
Kelly Pash started things off with a victory in the 200 fly, winning in thrilling fashion with a meet and pool record swim of 1:51.66, narrowly out-touching teammate Emma Sticklen who won silver in 1:51.68. Freshman Angie Coe completed the podium sweep for Texas, taking third in 1:56.20. It marked Pash's third individual victory of the meet, having also won the 200 free and 200 IM.
Lydia Jacoby followed by defending her Big 12 title in the 100 breast, touching the wall in 57.27 to break her own meet record and set a new pool record. Her time moved her to number four in the nation in the event this season. Anna Elendt finished just behind Jacoby, claiming the silver with a swim of 57.65. Jacoby's time was the fourth-fastest in program history, while Elendt's was the 14th-best. The duo have combined for the 24 fastest times in UT history.
Freshman Berit Berglund won her first career Big 12 crown, taking the title in the 100 back with a 51.72. Olivia Bray earned silver with a swim of 52.00, while freshman Emma Kern collected bronze in 52.26 to give Texas another 1-2-3 finish.
In the diving well, Jordan Skilken won her third career platform title, scoring 334.90 points to edge teammate Sarah Carruthers and her score of 334.70 by 0.20 points. Skilken earned the victory on the final dive of the night, scoring 76.80 points on a back 2 ½ somersault 1 ½ twist pike. Skilken previously won the event in 2020 and 2022.
Texas wrapped up the night with a meet and pool record in the 200 free relay, as Grace Cooper, Ava Longi, Sticklen and Pash combined for a swim of 1:26.66, just shy of the program and conference record of 1:23.31 that the quartet established at the Texas Invitational in November.
The Big 12 Championship conclude on Saturday with prelims beginning at 8:15 a.m. CT and finals starting at 4:15 p.m. CT. The final session will be streamed live on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
