No. 11 Women’s Golf holds lead going into final round of Big 12 Championship

Freshman Farah O’Keefe shoots four-under-par 67 in round two.
HOCKLEY, Texas — The University of Texas women's golf team has a five-shot lead heading into the final round of the Big 12 Championship at the Clubs at Houston Oaks after round two on Thursday.
The Longhorns were one of two teams to shoot under par in the second round as they carded a one-under-par 283 and are one-over-par for the tournament. Houston is in second place at six-over-par and Iowa State is third at seven-over-par.
Freshman Farah O'Keefe made three birdies on her first nine holes and another three birdies on her second nine holes. O'Keefe carded a round of four-under-par 67. The Longhorns started on hole 10 and O'Keefe made three birdies in a five-hole stretch from 18 to hole four. O'Keefe is four shots back of the individual lead.
Cindy Hsu birdied holes 14 and 17 on her first nine holes of the day. Hsu carded an even-par 71 on the day.
Texas will tee off tomorrow in a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. CT.

Farah O'Keefe made six birdies on the day as she carded a four-under-par 67 in the second round of the tournament. O'Keefe ranks second in the field this week in par 4 scoring at two-under-par. O'Keefe is second on the individual leaderboard.
Lauren Kim shot a one-over-par in the second round. Kim made three birdies and is in fifth place on the leaderboard.
Selina Liao shot her second straight 73 in the tournament. Liao birdied the par 4 third hole in her second round. Liao is T19 on the leaderboard.
Cindy Hsu shot five strokes better than the previous day for her second round. Hsu birdies holes 14 and 17 on the day. Hsu is T25 on the leaderboard.
Angela Heo carded a four-over-par 75 in her second round. Heo, who birdied hole 18 is T32 on the leaderboard.
