No. 4 Women’s Golf tied for fifth place at Mason Rudolph Championship

Four Longhorns shoot under par in opening round of the tournament.
FRANKLIN, Tenn. — The No. 4 Texas Women's Golf team are tied for fifth place following the opening round of the Mason Rudolph Championship on Friday at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.
Four Texas players shot under par and the team carded a 10-under round of 278. It is the 17th time in program history the Longhorns have shot double digits under par for a tournament round. Texas made 18 birdies for the round.
The Longhorns are two shots back of the team lead after round one. Mississippi State and South Carolina carded rounds of 12-under, while Arizona and Clemson shot 11-under. Texas, Baylor and Northwestern are tied for fifth at 10-under.
Farah O'Keefe turned in a solid opening round with a 4-under 68. Lauren Kim, Angela Heo, and freshman Alisa Inprasit carded rounds of 2-under 70. Cindy Hsu shot 1-over 73 for Texas.
The Longhorns are back in action tomorrow and will tee off starting at 9:15 AM CT off hole 1.
The Lineup
Farah O'Keefe carded her eighth career round in the 60s in her young collegiate career. O'Keefe made six birdies for the round and was 3-under on the back nine holes. O'Keefe is T5 on the individual leaderboard.
Lauren Kim made bogey on the first hole but had a clean scorecard the rest of the way with three birdies and a round of 2-under 70. Kim is T22 on the individual leaderboard.
Angela Heo made two birdies and 16 pars for a round of 2-under 70. Heo is T22 on the individual leaderboard.
Alisa Inprasit, playing in her first collegiate event carded a 2-under 70 in the opening round of the tournament. Inprasit was 4-under par over holes 4-18 and is T22 on the individual leaderboard.
Cindy Hsu made three birdies on her scorecard and shot a 1-over 73 in round one of the tournament.
