No. 4 Women’s Golf surges into first place at Mason Rudolph Championship

Longhorns shoot 11-under par as a team in the second round of the tournament.
FRANKLIN, Tenn. — The No. 4 Texas Women's Golf team shot double digits under par for a second straight day and climbed into the tournament lead on Saturday at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.
The Longhorns carded an 11-under-par 277 in the second round of the tournament to take the lead and have a two-day 21-under-par score. Texas goes into the final round with a four-shot lead over Georgia Southern and six-shot lead over Arizona, South Carolina and Northwestern. Texas made 19 combined birdies in the second round.
For the second straight day Texas had four players shoot under par. Farah O'Keefe carded a second consecutive 68 and is now 8-under for the tournament and in sixth place. Lauren Kim and Cindy Hsu each carded round of 3-under 69 and Angela Heo shot a 1-under 71.
The Longhorns will tee of tomorrow starting at 9:30 AM CT and will be paired with Georgia Southern and Arizona.
The Lineup
Farah O'Keefe went 3-under on the back nine holes and carded a 4-under 68 on day two. O'Keefe is 8-under for the tournament and in sixth place on the individual leaderboard.
Lauren Kim birdied the 17th and 18th holes to close a 3-under 69. Kim is now 5-under for the tournament and T10 on the individual leaderboard.
Angela Heo shot a second straight round under par with a 1-under 71. Heo made five birdies for her round and is now T18 on the individual leaderboard.
Cindy Hsu made four birdies on her way to a 3-under 69. Hsu moved up 35 spots on the individual leaderboard to T23.
Alisa Inprasit carded a 3-over 75 in the second round of the tournament.
