Men’s Tennis to open main draw play at ITA All-Americans

Three Longhorns will compete in the singles main draw, including senior Pierre-Yves Bailly and juniors Jonah Braswell and Sebastian Gorzny.
Tulsa, Okla. – Texas Men's Tennis is set to open play in the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa on Wednesday with three Longhorns competing, including senior No. 46 Pierre-Yves Bailly and junior No. 29 Jonah Braswell and No. 30 Sebastian Gorzny.
All three will take the court at 9 a.m. CT with Bailly facing No. 43 Martin Katz of Miami (Fla.), Braswell taking on No. 27 Pablo Alemany of Memphis, and Gorzny playing 9-16 seed No. 14 Thomas Paulsell of Georgia.
On Tuesday, sophomore Lucas Brown came within one win of playing his way into the main draw from prequalifying, but fell short against No. 71 Aidan Kim of Ohio State, who was the 16 seed in qualifying, 6-3, 6-4.
In doubles, the No. 31 pair of Brown and Gorzny fell to Billy Blaydes and William Nolan of Auburn in the qualifying draw, 6-2, 6-4, while the No. 68 tandem of Bailly and Braswell downed No. 43 Danil Panarin and Nathan Cox of Vanderbilt, 7-5, 6-4, in the qualifying consolation draw. Bailly and Braswell will next face No. 43 Sebastian Dominko and Peter Nad of Notre Dame at a time to be determined later.
