AUSTIN, TEXAS – Texas Athletics is thrilled to announce electrifying indie pop artist Fitz and the Tantrums will headline Longhorn City Limits presented by Still Austin Whiskey Co. on Saturday, September 28. They will take the stage prior to #1 Texas Football's inaugural Southeastern Conference home game versus Mississippi State. Y'all Out Boy, Austin's acclaimed pop-punk and emo cover band, will perform a special postgame show immediately following the conclusion of the game. Austin's own THEBROSFRESH will kick off a fantastic day of live music on the LBJ Lawn, and admission is FREE for Longhorn City Limits concerts all season long.
Multi-platinum artist Fitz and The Tantrums have energized popular music and culture with a series of unshakable, undeniable, and ubiquitous anthems and albums. Since 2008, the Los Angeles collective have magnified the scope of pop with a dash of indie, a dose of soul, and a whole lot of dancefloor-ready bounce.
Their catalog spans fan-favorite records such as Pickin' up the Pieces, More Than Just A Dream, the gold-certified Fitz and The Tantrums, and All the Feels. Along the way, they've impressively tallied just shy of 4 billion streams and counting powered by enduring hits such as the 4x-platinum "HandClap," 3x-platinum "Out of My League," platinum "The Walker," and gold "Moneygrabber."
Beyond standout performances everywhere from ACL Festival, Coachella, and Bonnaroo to numerous late-night television shows, Fitz and the Tantrums
have consistently sold out some of the most iconic venues in the world, including The Forum and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Not to mention, they've incited the applause from Rolling Stone, Billboard, People, and more. Their most recent album Let Yourself Free arrived in 2022 with bold, bright, and buoyant singles "Sway" and "Moneymaker." The band closed 2023 with their Perfect Holiday EP, featuring original songs to ring in the holiday season.
Formed in Austin in 2018, Y'all Out Boy recently celebrated their sixth anniversary with a sold-out show at Stubb's Austin. They have become a beloved staple in the Austin music scene, known for their high-energy performances and faithful renditions of classic songs from iconic bands like Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Blink-182, the Killers, and more! With a dynamic stage presence and a repertoire that gets crowds singing along, they promise an unforgettable show featuring chart-topping hits.
From the quiet streets of Geismar, Louisiana, where the pulse of Baton Rouge and New Orleans flows through the air, THEBROSFRESH carry that energy with them. Now calling Austin home, they've crafted a sound that's as much about where they're from as where they're going. A mix of R&B and rock that feels like it's breaking rules, stretching boundaries, and reimagining what southern music can be. It's a vibe that reaches beyond just place—it's a story, a feeling, that speaks to anyone listening, no matter where they're at.
