AUSTIN, Texas – Texas junior left tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. earned the Southeastern Conference's (SEC) Offensive Lineman of the Week honor, the conference office announced Monday. It's Banks' first career weekly honor.
The Humble, Texas, product has played in and started in 34 games with the Longhorns. Entering the 2024 season, Banks was named a 2024 preseason First-Team All-America by the Associated Press, CBS Sports, ESPN, Sporting News and The Athletic. He was also selected to the 2024 preseason First-Team All-SEC by the media and was appointed to the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award preseason watch lists.

Banks allowed no sacks and no quarterback pressures from his left tackle position. Texas has scored at least 30 points in every game this season, including three 50-plus point performances.
