The Coretta Scott King Classic (CSKC) was formed to honor the legacy of Mrs. King and celebrate female empowerment in sports. This is the first time the names of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King have been licensed for a sporting event. The CSKC joint venture partners have partnered with The King Center, founded by Coretta Scott King and currently led by their daughter Dr. Bernice A. King, to launch this event.

• HOLLE SETS PROGRAM RECORD: In the win against Auburn on Thursday, Shay Holle became the all-time winningest player in the NCAA Era for Texas women's basketball. Holle has been part of 126 wins at Texas and has played in 151 games for the Longhorns. Texas is 120-31 in games she has played and 60-13 with her in the starting lineup.
• HARMON MOVING UP: Rori Harmon moved into second on the Longhorns all-time assist list against Alabama. Harmon now has 616 career assists and is one of two players in program history with at least 1,000 points and 600 assists.
• DEFENSIVE PRESSURE: In their five SEC games, the Longhorns have forced a total of 113 turnovers (22.6 per game) and converted those turnovers into 126 points. Texas leads opponents in points off turnovers 126-58 in SEC play. Texas is forcing 24.7 turnovers per game and rank third in the country in turnover margin.
• GETTING TO THE FREE-THROW LINE: This season Texas has made 351 free-throws and opponents have attempted 333. Texas has made 112 more free-throws than their opponents this season and lead the country in free-throws made per game (18.5).
• ON THE BOARDS: Texas has limited opponents to single digits for second chance points in 17 of their 19 games this season. In the last four games combined Texas leads opponents 60-21 in second chance points.
