Booker has 26 points to lead the Longhorns to their fifth ranked win this season.
AUSTIN, Texas — Madison Booker and Taylor Jones combined for 47 points and 20 rebounds as the No. 17/17 Texas women's basketball team picked up their fifth ranked win of the season with an 80-76 victory over No. 17/17 Tennessee on Thursday at Moody Center.
Booker recorded her third straight game scoring at least 20 points and she led Texas with 26 points on 50 percent shooting. Taylor Jones tallied her sixth double-double of the season with 21 points and a season-high 14 rebounds. Jones had nine offensive rebounds.
Rori Harmon played in her 100th game scoring eight points with eight assists. Aaliyah Moore scored 11 points and freshman Jordan Lee added 10 points for Texas.
The Longhorns held the Lady Vols 18.3 points under their scoring average for the season. Texas outrebounded Tennessee 39-24 to add 25 second-chance points, only allowing five for Tennessee.
A jumper from Booker assisted by Jones put Texas on the board in the opening quarter. Texas then forced a 2:28 Tennessee scoring drought to make it a one-point game.
The Longhorns opened the second quarter with three straight jumpers from Aaliyah Moore, Bryanna Preston, and Jones to take the lead. With seven lead changes, Texas closed the first half leading 45-40.
Texas opened the second half shooting 4-of-4 of their field goals in 1:47 of game time. A jumper from Jones assisted by Harmon solidified a one-point lead at the end of the third quarter for the Longhorns.
Two field goals from Moore and Harmon extended the Longhorns lead by five points at the start of the final quarter. A tie game with less than a minute left, the Longhorns sealed the victory with a jumper from Booker and a pair of free throws from Harmon.
Up next the Longhorns travel to Oxford, Mississippi to face Ole Miss on Sunday, January 26 at 2:00 PM CT. The game will be televised on ESPN.

• Texas improved to 19-2 on the season and 5-1 in SEC play. The Longhorns earned their fifth ranked win this season.
• Texas improved to 10-0 at home this season and 42-5 all-time in Moody Center.
• The Longhorns held a 25-5 advantage in second chance points and had 16 offensive rebounds.
• Texas has given up single digit second chance points in 19 of their 21 games this season.
• Jones recorded her 24th career double-double with her 21 points and 14 rebounds.

• Texas shot 32-of-64 (50 percent) from the field. The Longhorns has shot 50 percent or better in 13 games this season and are 13-0 when doing so.
• Shay Holle was honored prior to the game tonight for setting at UT program record for wins in the NCAA Era and now has been part of 128 Texas wins.
• Rori Harmon recorded five or more assists for the 18th game of the season. With her eight assists Harmon now has 631 career assists.
