Hook 'Em's Community Heroes – October 2025
10.28.2025 | Longhorn Sports Properties / Learfield
AUSTIN, Texas – Together with Truist, congratulations to October's Hook 'Em's Community Heroes: from Volleyball, Emma Halter, and from Football, Colin Simmons.
Emma participated in youth sports herself, and those experiences have pushed her to where she is now and pusher her to provide for today's youth.
"Working with and coaching the youth brings me so much joy and takes me back to my younger self. In coaching and giving lessons, the youth have taught me so many important lessons just by being around them, so I want to support their journey in athletics as much as I can. I am passionate about supporting youth sports because I believe that sports teach so many important lessons and instill lifelong values that will carry them far beyond sport. I pray that any child who desires to play sports is given the opportunity to participate and chase their dreams"
Colin's personal experience with autism has played a part in his upbringing and motivates him to support the autistic community any way he can.
"Helping build community for autistic children, especially on the southern side of Dallas, is important to me. I just want to give my autistic brother the world."
In recognition of their causes, Truist is proud to donate $500 each to organizations that provide support for youth sports and autism support.
