No. 2 Women’s Swimming closes Texas Invitational with Okaro’s record-breaking 100 free

The Longhorns close the Texas Invitational with dominant finals performances across multiple events.
AUSTIN, Texas — The No. 2 Texas Women's Swimming and Diving team wrapped up the final day of the Texas Hall of Fame Swimming Invite with a record-setting performance, highlighted by Eva Okaro's 100-yard freestyle team record and a program-record 400 freestyle relay, in which Okaro also broke her own 100 free record on the lead-off leg.
Texas opened the night with a strong showing in the 200 IM, placing three swimmers in the top four. Campbell Chase led the Longhorns with a runner-up finish in 1:53.48, followed by Angie Coe in third at 1:54.18 and Campbell Stoll, who claimed fourth in 1:55.66.
Sarah Rodrigues placed fourth in 1:52.57, improving from her prelim swim of 1:53.41.
The Longhorns also earned a win in the 200 butterfly, where Campbell Stoll claimed the event title in 1:52.13 after entering finals with a 1:55.03 preliminary time.
Okaro produced the highlight swim of the session, finishing second in the 100 free in 46.61, setting a Texas program record. Lillie Nesty added a top-eight performance, placing eighth in 48.31.
Texas closed the invitational with a historic 400 freestyle relay, finishing second in 3:09.06. Okaro's 46.49 lead-off broke her own just-set 100 free record before Nesty, Nikolett Padar and Lucy Mehraban combined to complete the program-record relay swim.
