No. 2 Women's Basketball runs past UTRGV, 110-45

Madison Booker records a triple-double with 28 points, 10 assist, 10 rebounds.
EDINBURG, Texas – Madison Booker became the fifth player in Texas women's basketball history to record a triple-double as Texas secured a 110-45 win against UTRGV on Wednesday.
Booker scored 28 points and added 10 assists and 10 rebounds for her first career triple-double.
Rori Harmon dished out 14 assists and passed 800 career assists for her career.
Justice Carlton scored 21 points and Jordan Lee added 15. Sarah Graved contributed a career-high 10 points.
The Longhorns jumped out to a 16-9 lead at the first media timeout at the 4:38 mark of the first quarter. Texas came out of the timeout and only allowed UTRGV one field goal the rest of the quarter as they used a 17-3 run to take a 33-12 lead at the end of the first period. Carlton scored 10 points in the quarter on 4-of-6 shooting. Texas started the game shooting 59.1 percent from the field in the first quarter.
The Longhorns shot 16-of-23 (69.6 percent) from the field in the second quarter and outscored UTRGV 37-8 in the period. Jordan Lee knocked down a 3-pointer to put Texas up 70-20 at the halftime break. Carlton scored eight more in the second period to finish the half with 18 points.
The Texas defense held UTRGV to 29.6 percent shooting in the first half and forced 21 turnovers which they converted into 31 points.
Up next the Longhorns travel to Forth Worth, Texas to take on No. 13 Baylor in the Sprouts Farmers Market espnW Invitational on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 12:00 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on ABC.
