No. 2 Women's Basketball overwhelms No. 13 Baylor, 89-54

Longhorns force 30 Baylor turnovers and convert into 42 points off turnovers in the victory.
FORT WORTH, Texas – The No. 2 Texas women's basketball team tallied 19 steals and forced 30 turnovers in an 89-54 victory over Baylor in the Sprouts Farmers Market espnw Invitational on Sunday at Dickies Arena.
Madison Booker led Texas with 27 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals and shot 12-of-17 from the field. Jordan Lee connected on four 3-point field goals for 19 points. Rori Harmon posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 assists. Breya Cunningham scored in double figures with 11 points and Justice Carlton added eight points and four steals.
Baylor jumped out to a 9-4 lead, but the Longhorns took their defensive intensity up a notch and used a 15-0 run that was part of a 21-2 run to take control in the first quarter. Texas held Baylor to one field goal in the final 7:01 of the opening period and led 29-13 after the first quarter. Texas forced Baylor into eight turnovers in the first quarter.
Booker dropped eight points in the second quarter and found Breya Cunningham for a layup late in the second quarter to put the Longhorns up 45-24.
Texas used an 11-2 run early in the third quarter and Jordan Lee knocked down her third 3-point field goal of the game at the 5:11 mark of the third quarter to put Texas up 58-34. Moments later Lee added another on a pass from Harmon to put Texas up 61-34.
Booker and Harmon scored 12 of the 19 Texas points in the fourth quarter to finish the game and a 89-54 victory.
Up next the Longhorns return to Austin to host Northwestern State on Dec. 17 at 8:00 p.m. at Moody Center. That game will be televised on SEC Network.

- Texas improved to 12-0 on the season and improved to 62-50 all-time against Baylor.
- The Longhorns held a 42-2 advantage in points off turnovers as they forced 30 Baylor turnovers and committed just seven themselves.

- For the fourth straight game Texas recorded single digit turnovers with seven in the game today.
- Rori Harmon tallied three steals and moved into a tie for third on the Longhorns all-time list for career steals. She now has 313 steals in her career.
