AUSTIN, Texas – Together with Truist, congratulations to November's Hook 'Em's Community Heroes: from Women's Basketball, Aaliyah Crump, and from Men's Basketball, Cole Bott.
Aaliyah has grown her faith over the years through work and study. She is proud to be able to use her platform to help others strengthen their faith journey.
"Faith has always been a huge part of my life, and something that has grown deeper and stronger over the years. In my journey of faith, I've been introduced to amazing organizations with people who are strong and encouraging. Through these organizations, I was gifted with the opportunity to form a community of faith driven people, who have helped shape me into the believer I am today."
Cole recognizes the value of youth sports in kids' lives, and is pushing to make sure others have the same experiences he's received.
"Youth sports matter because they teach discipline, teamwork, and resilience. These skills extend far beyond the playing field. I've seen firsthand how access to athletics can give kids confidence and a sense of belonging. Supporting these programs ensures that every child, regardless of background, has the chance to grow through play and competition. It's about building stronger individuals and stronger communities at the same time."
In recognition of their causes, Truist is proud to donate $500 each to organizations that provide support for faith outreach and youth sports. For more information on Hook 'Em's Community Heroes, together with Truist, visit texaslonghorns.com/feature/TruistCares.
