No. 2 Women's Basketball rolls past Prairie View A&M, 101-42

AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 2 Texas women's basketball team saw five players recording double digits, as it defeated Prairie View A&M, 101-42, Sunday at Moody Center.
The Longhorns (10-0) were led by Breya Cunningham, who put up a career-high 30 points along with 14 rebounds in the win. It marks Cunningham's second double-double of the season, her career fifth, while shooting 66.7 percent. Kyla Oldacre recorded 17 points and six rebounds for the Longhorns. Madison Booker put up her third double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Jordan Lee added 12 points and five rebounds along with Teya Sidberry's 10 points.
Rori Harmon dished out 10 assists and contributed nine rebounds and seven points. Harmon added two blocks and two steals.
Texas opened the game with Jordan Lee making a pair of three-throws. The Longhorns closed out the first quarter 29-15 with an 8-0 run over 1:35. Texas shot 9-for-10 from the free throw line, with Sidberry contributing four. Sidberry ended the quarter with eight points. Cunningham led the charge with nine points and grabbed six rebounds for Texas.
Grace Prenter came into the game in the second quarter and scored a layup. Prenter later added five points for a total of seven points in 18 minutes of play. It was extra special for Prenter with her father making the trip from Ireland to see her play.
Lee started the third quarter with a 3-point jump shot. In transition Booker acquired an impressive defensive steal leading to a layup from Lee. Cunningham put up 12 points and six rebounds in the quarter, as Texas offense went on a 14-0 run over 3:51. Texas defense held the Panthers to only seven points in the quarter, its eighth time doing so this season.
Texas extended its run from the third quarter to 24-0, with Oldacre leading the scoring with 15, shooting perfect on the field (9-for-9). As a team, Texas shot 58.8 percent in field goals (10-for-17). The Longhorns closed out the game with a final score of 101- 42.
