• RANKED WINS: The Longhorns won their seventh game of the season against a ranked opponent with their 66-62 win against No. 2 South Carolina. It marked the fourth top-10 opponent Texas has beat this season.
• NATIONAL RECOGNITION: The Longhorns were named the USBWA National Team of the Week for the second time this season, following their wins over No. 24 Vanderbilt and No. 2 South Carolina. Madison Booker was named the AP National Player of the Week and SEC Player of the Week. Booker earned a spot on the Wooden Award Top20 Watch List for National Player of the Year.
• FAST START: At 24-2 the Longhorns are off to their best start since the 2015-16 season.
• 20 WINS FOR SCHAEFER: Texas head coach Vic Schaefer has guided teams to 20 or more wins in 12 straight seasons.
• BOOKER REACHES 1,000 POINTS: Madison Booker became the 49th member of the Texas women's basketball 1,000 point club against Vanderbilt. Booker has scored 1,023 points in 62 games at Texas. In the current Texas eight game win streak, Booker is averaging 20.1 points per game and shooting 48.4 percent from the field, while also grabbing 7.8 rebounds per game.
• HONORS FOR HARMON: Last week Rori Harmon was named to the watch list for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year as well as a top-10 finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award.
• TWO-HEADED MONSTER: Kyla Oldacre and Taylor Jones have combined to average 21.8 points per game, 12.9 rebounds per game, 69 blocked shots and a 63.4 field goal percentage this season. Jones reached 1,000 career rebounds in the win over South Carolina.
