• RANKED WINS: The Longhorns won their eighth game of the season against a ranked opponent with their 67-49 win against No. 8 Kentucky. It marked the fifth top-10 opponent Texas has beat this season.
• IN THE MOOD: Texas is 13-0 at home this season and 45-5 all-time at Moody Center. Going back to last season the Longhorns have won 20 games in a row at home.
• NATIONAL RECOGNITION: The Longhorns were named the USBWA National Team of the Week for the second time this season, following their wins over No. 24 Vanderbilt and No. 2 South Carolina. Madison Booker was named the AP National Player of the Week and SEC Player of the Week. Booker earned a spot on the Wooden Award Top20 Watch List for National Player of the Year.
• FAST START: At 25-2 the Longhorns are off to their best start since the 2015-16 season.
• 20 WINS FOR SCHAEFER: Texas head coach Vic Schaefer has guided teams to 20 or more wins in 12 straight seasons. Schaefer has led teams to 25 or more wins in a season 10 times in his career.
• BOOKER AGAINST RANKED OPPONENTS: In the Longhorns last five games against ranked opponents (all wins) Madison Booker is averaging 22.6 points per game, 7.0 rebounds per game and shooting over 50 percent from the field.
• HONORS FOR HARMON: Last week Rori Harmon was named to the watch list for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year as well as a top-10 finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award.
• TWO-HEADED MONSTER: Kyla Oldacre and Taylor Jones have combined to average 22.2 points per game, 12.9 rebounds per game, 69 blocked shots and a 62.8 field goal percentage this season. Jones reached 1,000 career rebounds in the win over South Carolina and is 11 points from her 1,000th point at Texas.
DEFENSE & REBOUNDING: In their last two wins the Longhorns are leading opponents 33-8 in points off turnovers. Texas is averaging 18.9 second chance points per game and pulled down 20 offensive rebounds against Kentucky. Texas is 15-0 on the season when holding an opponent below 40 percent shooting.
