Texas Women's Swim and Dive kicks off the SEC Championships with 1-meter diving on Monday beginning with the prelims at 11 a.m. CT. The B final will start at 1:10 p.m. and the A final is slated for 4:10 p.m.
Conference Championship History
- A first-year league member, Texas will be competing in its first-ever SEC Championship this week.
- The Longhorns have won 12-consecutive conference crowns – winning 12-straight Big 12 titles prior to the 2024-25 campaign. UT won 22 conference titles in 28 years in the Big 12 Conference.
- The last 12 conference championships have come under head coach Carol Capitani.
- All told, Texas has claimed 36 conference championships overall since 1983 (14 Southwest Conference, 22 Big 12 Conference).

- In last year's conference championship, three Longhorns grabbed individual awards with former Longhorn Kelly Pash earning Women's Swimmer of the Meet, Hailey Hernandez garnering Women's Diver of the Meet and Erin Gemmell receiving Women's Swimmer Newcomer of the Meet.
- In last year's championship, the Horns won 21 of 22 events.
Last Time Out
- The Longhorns cruised to a 197-102 victory over No. 19 Texas A&M on Jan. 31 at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center, increasing its overall dual meet record to 7-1 on the season.
Notes
- Following the Sterkel Classic (Feb. 1) and the dual meet against Texas A&M (Jan. 31), Texas' Olivia Bray was named the SEC Swimmer of the Week while Lillie Nesty was selected as the league's Freshman of the Week.
- Bray, a graduate student from Daleville, Va., claimed five podium finishes over two meets to conclude the regular-season schedule for the Longhorns. In the win over No. 19 Texas A&M, Bray won the 200 fly with an NCAA B-cut time of 1:52.68. She was also led off the winning 400 medley relay (3:29.73/51.56) and swam the anchor leg of the second-place 200 free relay (1:28.65/22.21). At the Sterkel Classic on Feb. 1, Bray clocked in a pair of NCAA B-cut times to win the 200 free with a season-best time of 1:46.75 and the 200 back with a time of 1:53.31.
- Nesty, a native of Gainesville, Fla., took first place in the 1000 free with a time of 9:35.01, the 11th-fastest time in program history, vs. Texas A&M. She also placed third in the 100 fly with an NCAA B-cut time of 52.62 and swam the third leg of the 200 free relay that finished second (1:28.65/22.06) against the Aggies.
- Emma Sticklen broke her own program record in the 100 fly in a time of 49.55 at the Eddie Reese Texas Showdown on Jan. 24. The two-time defending NCAA champ in the 200 fly put on another show by winning that event easily in 1:49.87. Sticklen has broken seven school records this season.
- Freshman Jillian Cox has pieced together a sensation first year on the Forty Acres, holding the 500, 1000 and 1650 free school records.
- Cox also leads the country in the 500 and 1650 free, while Sticklen posts the top time in the 200 fly.
- Sticklen also holds the second-best time in the country in the 200 IM (1:52.75).
- Last time out against the Aggies, Texas dominated the 3-meter platform, filling the podium with Alejandra Estudillo Torres taking first in her Longhorn debut (334.80), Bayleigh Cranford placing second (330.23), and Hailey Hernandez finishing in third (321.75).
- In the dual vs. Texas A&M, Hernandez and Caroline Kupka also finished in first and second place on the 1-meter platform with their scores of 333.08 and 305.48.
