No. 14 Beach Volleyball goes undefeated in the Longhorn Invitational

The Longhorns move to 9-0 for the 2025 season
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 14 Texas Beach Volleyball concluded the Longhorn Invitational adding two wins against Stephen F. Austin and Texas A&M - Corpus Christi.
Texas started the day with a 4-1 win against SFA followed by a 3-2 win over TAMUCC.
In its first dual of the day, Texas took a 2-0 lead over SFA with back-to-back two set wins from the No. 4 pair (Ava Patton/Kylie Wickley), 21-12, 21-12 and the No. 2 pair (Chloe Charles/Eva Liisa Kuivonen), 21-18, 21-10. The No. 3 pair (Maddison Parmelly/Karin Zolnercikova) added another win, 21-11, 21-18 followed by a 21-10, 21-12 win from Macey Butler and Noa Sonneville (No. 5). Emma Grace Robertson and Katie Hashman (No. 1) finished the dual falling, 22-24, 18-21.
Texas opened its final dual of the day with a 21-19, 21-17 win from the No. 2 pair of Charles and Kuivonen. Patton and Wickley (No. 4) fell just short in a third set, 21-19, 19-21, 13-15. The Longhorns took the lead with a 21-17, 21-13 win from the No. 5 pair (Butler/Sonneville) before Robertson and Hashman (No. 1) fell, 17-21, 17-21. Parmelly and Zolnercikova clinched the win for Texas, 21-14, 21-18.
The Longhorns moved to 2-1 in its all-time series with the TAMUCC Islanders and 4-2 with the SFA Lumberjacks.
The pairs of Charles and Kuivonen (7-0) and Parmelly and Zolnercikova (8-0) remain undefeated in the 2025 season.
Up next, Texas heads to Fort Worth, TX to face Florida State, Florida Atlantic, Boise State, and host TCU on March 7-8.
