No. 13 Beach Volleyball takes down Boise State, falls to TCU at TCU Invitational

The Longhorns finish the TCU Invitational with a 2-2 mark and move to 11-2 on the season.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 13 Texas Beach Volleyball splits day two at the TCU Invitational with a win over Boise State, but drops match to No. 4 TCU.
The Longhorns started the day with a 3-2 win over Boise State after scoring its first point from the No. 4 pair of Macey Butler and Noa Sonneville, 21-16, 28-26. After going into extra points in the third set, the No. 5 pair (Presley Wright/Vivian Johnson) fell just short, 18-21, 21-18, 17-19. Karin Zolnercikova and Maddison Parmelly (No. 3) took the lead with a 21-13, 21-16 win. Boise State tied the match again, defeating the No. 1 pair of Chloe Charles and Eva Liisa Kuivonen, 15-21, 21-22. Emma Grace Robertson and Katie Hashman (No. 2) solidified the win for the Longhorns with a 21-19, 21-14 win.
Carys Patton and Kylie Wickley (No. 5) scored Texas' only point against TCU with a one-set win, 21-8. TCU secured the following three points with a 21-17, 21-16 win over Butler and Sonneville (No. 4), a 25-23, 21-18 win over Robertson and Hashman (No. 2), and 21-15, 23-21 win over Charles and Kuivonen (No. 1). After taking the first set, the No. 3 pair of Zolnercikova and Parmelly fell 21-17, 10-21, 9-15.
Up next, the Longhorns travel to Manhattan Beach, California to face No. 1 UCLA, No. 2 LMU, No. 9 California Berkeley and No. 15 Hawaii on March 14-15.
