DRAFT NOTABLES:
• Texas is one of only four programs that have had multiple first-round picks in each of the last two NFL Drafts (Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Penn State).
• With Kelvin Banks (9th pick/Saints), Jahdae Barron (20th pick/Broncos), and Matthew Golden (23rd pick/Packers), Texas' three first-round picks tied the Longhorn program best (3, 1980).
• Texas has had at least one first-round pick in three-straight drafts (2023-25), marking the fourth time in program history the Longhorns have accomplished that. It's the first time since doing that in four-straight drafts from 2004-07. UT also had four-straight years with a first-round selection in 1977-80 and three-straight in 1947-49.
• The Longhorns' back-to-back years with multiple first-round picks marked the first time that has happened at Texas since doing that four years in a row from 2004-07.
• Texas had five players selected in the first two rounds of this year's draft, matching the program best established in 2024. The Longhorns' 10 combined players selected in the first two rounds of the 2024 and 2025 Drafts are the most-ever in back-to-back drafts in UT history.
• The 10 combined first and second-round picks over the past two drafts are the most of any program (9/Georgia & Ohio State, 7/Alabama & Michigan)
• Kelvin Banks became the first Longhorn offensive lineman drafted in the first round since 2002 (Mike Williams). He became the 25th player selected among the top 10 players in the Draft.
• Matthew Golden (2025) and Xavier Worthy (2024) marked the first time in program history that the Longhorns had a wide receiver selected in the first round of back-to-back Drafts.
• Jahdae Barron (1st round) and Andrew Mukuba (2nd round) became the first Longhorn DB duo selected in the first two rounds of the same draft since Aaron Ross and Michael Griffin were both picked in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft.
• Jaydon Blue became the fifth Longhorn running back selected in the last three NFL Drafts. He also extended a UT streak to three-straight years with an RB drafted, the longest streak in program history.
• Texas had three offensive linemen (Kelvin Banks, Cameron Williams, Hayden Conner) selected in the first seven rounds of an NFL Draft for the first time since 1982 (OT Terry Tausch/2nd Round/Vikings, C Mike Baab/5th Round/Browns, G Joe Shearin/7th Round/Rams).
• In 2024, Byron Murphy II (first Round) and T'Vondre Sweat (second Round) became the first Longhorn defensive tackle duo selected in the first two rounds of the draft since Casey Hampton (first Round/Steelers) and Shaun Rogers (second Round/Lions) in 2001.
• In 2024, Xavier Worthy (first Round), Adonai Mitchell (second round) and Jordan Whittington (sixth round) were taken in the NFL Draft — the most-ever at that position in a single common era NFL Draft (since 1967) for UT. The Horns previously had two wide receivers taken in 2020, 2004, 1991 & 1987.

• In 2024, The Longhorns' 11 picks ranked second to Michigan (13). The top-five included Michigan (13), Texas (11), Alabama (10), Florida State (10) and Washington (10). Texas' 11 picks through the first six rounds of the draft were the most of any program.
• In 2024, UT's 11 selections were the most-ever for the Longhorns in a seven-round draft and third-most in any draft (17 in 12 rounds in 1984 and 12 in 12 rounds in 1982). The previous highs for seven rounds of a draft were 10 in 1984 and nine in 1982.
