No. 1 Rowing wins two races as weather adjusts remaining Longhorn Invite schedule

Friday's schedule was limited to three races.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 1 Texas Rowing dominated and earned victories in the only two races it competed in at Lake Walter E. Long on Friday evening. The Texas First and Second Fours smashed its competition before Friday's remaining races were canceled due to inclement weather in the area.
Saturday's race schedule has been adjusted with the first race beginning at 7:30 a.m. CT. Saturday's final race will start at 10 a.m.
To kick off the Longhorn Invite, the Texas II Four bested its competition in Heat 1, winning in 7:26.425 to defeat Oklahoma (2nd-8:14.703) and SMU (3rd-8:44.981). The Horns jumped out in front with an early open-water lead and continued to their cushion throughout the 2,000-meter race.
The Texas Four picked up a commanding victory against SMU, clocking in at a fiery 7:22.360. The Mustangs followed suit after crossing the finish line in 7:53.154.
