No. 20/10 Track and Field wins four events on final day of Texas Invitational

Nabil Tezkratt moves to No. 10 on the school's all-time 400-meters list.
AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 20/10 Texas Track and Field team closed out the Texas Invitational on Friday with four wins and saw one sprinter climb into the school's all-time list.
Both of UT's 4x100-meter relay squads won their respective events. The women of Carleta Bernard, Holly Okuku, Kenondra Davis and Nita Koom-Dadzie recorded a time of 43.53, while the men saw Kendrick Smallwood, Logan Popelka, Almond Small and Xavier Butler win in 39.47.
Sophomore Nabil Tezkratt later climbed the school's 400-meters all-time performer list with his time of 45.67. The time was second overall and moved him to No. 10 on the all-time list. John Rutledge opened his outdoor season with a sixth-place finish in 46.44, and Chris Brinkley Jr. was eighth in 47.30.
Junior Kelsey Daniel opened his triple jump season winning on his home track with a jump of 15.45m (50-8.25). Texas-Ex Ackelia Smith won the women's competition with a jump of 13.34m (43-9.25), the only competitor to jump over 13 meters. Senior Chrystal Herpin won the women's shot put with her fifth-round throw of 17.01m (55-9.75).
The women's 100-meter dash saw Kenondra Davis finish fourth in 11.34 and Holly Okuku place fifth in 11.39. Xavier Butler led the men with a third-place finish in a time of 10.22.
Five Longhorns finished in the top eight of the women's 800-meters led by Amity Ebarb who was third in 2:06.63. Mackenize Browne (2:07.27) was fifth, followed by Elizabeth Stockman (2:08.92) in sixth, Grace Kowalski (2:09.86) in seventh and Aishling Callanan in eighth in 2:10.47. Daniel Howells posted the top finish on the men's side with a runner-up finish in 1:50.12.
