The Longhorns add TE Jack Endries, DL Lavon Johnson, WR Emmett Mosley V, K Mason Shipley and DL Maraad Watson via the transfer portal.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Football has announced the additions of five transfers expected to join the Longhorns during the summer prior to the 2025 season. The signees include TE Jack Endries, DL Lavon Johnson, WR Emmett Mosley V, K Mason Shipley and DL Maraad Watson.

Jack Endries | Tight End | 6-4 | 240 | JR. | Danville, Calif. | Monte Vista / California
Endries joins the Longhorns after playing two seasons at Cal, where he led the Golden Bears with 623 receiving yards on 56 receptions (11.13 ypc) as a redshirt sophomore in 2024. Endries earned All-ACC Honorable Mention after ranking third amongst all ACC tight ends in receiving yards. Averaging 47.9 receiving yards per game. He also snagged two touchdown receptions and recorded a pair of 100-yard receiving efforts in 2024. The Danville, Calif. product paced Cal with three receptions for 78 yards, including a career-long 57-yard touchdown reception, vs. No. 8 Miami on Oct. 5, 2024. Endries followed with another stellar performance at No. 22 Pitt on Oct. 12, pulling in eight catches for a career-high 119 receiving yards and a score. Endries recorded his second 100-yard receiving performance in as many games after snaring a career-high nine receptions for 101 yards vs. NC State on Oct. 19. Endries concluded the 2024 campaign with seven receptions for 61 yards against UNLV in the Art of LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk on Dec. 18. As a freshman in 2023, he earned first-team (College Football Network), second-team (The Athletic) and honorable mention (College Football News) Freshman All-America honors after registering 35 receptions for 407 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 31.3 yards per game. Endries was Cal's nominee for the Burlsworth Trophy in 2023, which is awarded annually to the most outstanding FBS player who began his career as a walk-on. In two seasons at Cal, Endries has played in 26 games and has manufactured 91 receptions for 1,030 receiving yards and four touchdowns. His 1,030 receiving yards over the previous two seasons are the most by any returning Power Four right end.

Johnson heads to the Forty Acres after spending two seasons at Maryland, where he totaled 19 tackles (14 solo), 1.5 tackles for loss and one sack in 18 appearances. During the 2024 season, the Allentown, Pa. native was responsible for 14 tackles (10 solo) and a half tackle for loss across eight games while missing four games due to injury. After returning from injury vs. Iowa on Nov. 11, Johnson recorded a career-high six tackles (six solo) against the Hawkeyes. He followed that performance with a three-tackle effort at No. 4 Penn State on Nov. 23. As a true freshman in 2023, Johnson compiled five tackles (four solo) and a sack in six games.
Emmett Mosley V | Wide Receiver | 6-2 | 205 | SO. | Chicago, Ill. | Santa Margarita Catholic (California) / Stanford
Mosley joins Texas after a breakout freshman season at Stanford in 2024, ranking second on the squad and leading ACC freshmen with 48 receptions for 525 receiving yards (10.9), while leading the Cardinal with six touchdown receptions. Playing in nine games with eight starts, Mosley set Stanford records for most receptions and receiving yards by a true freshman while logging two 100-yard receiving games. His 525 receiving yards were the most by a Stanford true freshman since Richard Sherman in 2006 (581). The Chicago native garnered a pair of ACC honors, receiving ACC Receiver of the Week and ACC Rookie of the Week during Week 12 of the season. In his collegiate debut, Mosley caught seven passes for 48 yards (6.9 ypc) with a touchdown at No. 17 Clemson on Sept. 28. He posted his first career 100-yard receiving effort after setting season highs in receptions (13), receiving yards (168) and touchdowns (three) in Stanford's victory against No. 22 Louisville. Following the win vs. Louisville, he finished with six receptions for 63 yards (10.5 ypc) and a score against rival Cal. Mosley concluded his freshman season with his second 100-yard receiving game, hauling in seven catches for 101 yards (14.4 ypc) and a touchdown vs. San Jose State on Nov. 29.
Mason Shipley | Kicker | 6-0 | 185 | SR. | Liberty Hill, Texas | Liberty Hill / Texas State
Shipley brings veteran experience to Texas' special teams after playing in 38 career games across three seasons at Texas State. The Liberty Hill, Texas, product has connected on 31-of-35 career field goals (88.6 percent) and 111 PATs. Landing on the 2024 Lou Groza Award watch list, Shipley went 15-of-19 (78.9 percent) on field goals with a long of 60 as a redshirt junior. He appeared in all 13 games in 2024 and hit a 60-yard field goal vs. Sam Houston, setting a program and Sun Belt Conference record. He was tabbed a Lou Groza Award semifinalist in 2023 after making 15-of-15 field goals, becoming one of two kickers in the country with a 100 percent field goal mark. He established a school record with his 15 made field goals and scored the second-most points in program history (103). He converted on all four field goal attempts from 40-49 yards out, as well. He also holds immense kickoff duty experience after kicking off 72 times for 3,916 yards and 18 touchbacks in two seasons.

A 247Sports Freshman All-American in 2024, Watson appeared in 13 games with 11 starts at defensive tackle, collecting 31 stops, 1.5 tackles for loss, one sack, a pass break-up and a quarterback hurry to propel Syracuse to a 10-3 record. He made his collegiate debut vs. Ohio on Aug. 13, finishing with two tackles. The Irvington, N.J. product had a half tackle for loss and a quarterback hurry in his first career start against No. 23 Georgia Tech on Sept. 7. He filed a season-high six tackles in Syracuse's upset win over No. 6 Miami on Nov. 30 and finished the season with five tackles vs. Washington State in the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 27.
