Mathilde Ngijol-Carré, a native of Paris, France, who has been one of the top players in the world in each of her age categories, will join the Longhorns’ roster for the fall 2025.
Austin – University of Texas Women's Tennis has signed international standout Mathilde Ngijol-Carré to an Athletic Scholarship Agreement (ASA), head coach Howard Joffe announced Tuesday. Ngijol-Carré will join the program in the fall 2025.
"Starting with our initial recruiting call, I could tell that Mathilde is a formidable young lady," Joffe said. "She is deeply resourced with drive, smarts and a wonderful sense of humor. Since a young age, she has been amongst the top players in the world for her age, and I couldn't be more grateful and excited with her inclusion on our team. I intend to work diligently alongside Mathilde to help her develop her tennis ambitions and give her the opportunity to enjoy Texas and make the most of her academic ability."
"I chose Texas because it's the place where I can grow as both a person and an athlete," Ngijol-Carré said. "I can't wait to get there and start my journey."
