Hook 'Em's Community Heroes – September 2025 - University of Texas Athletics

AUSTIN, Texas – Together with Truist, congratulations to September's Hook 'Em's Community Heroes: from Soccer, Livi Ahern, and from Football, Liona Lefau.

Livi is passionate about providing children with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop.

"I want to support this cause because I believe that every child deserves equal opportunities and access to resources they need to pursue their future goals. I hope that more children can grow up in an environment that encourages, inspires, and celebrates them for who they are and the dreams they have!"

Liona's experience mentoring and supporting children has motivated him to be a leader in his community and inspires him to continue to give back.

"Supporting youth empowerment and education matters to me because every child deserves the chance to grow into their fullest potential- in the classroom, in their communities, on the field, and beyond! I've seen firsthand how mentorship, resources, and community support can change lives. That's why I have founded The Liona Lefau Foundation, in hopes to support and give back to the community that shaped me and inspire the next generation."

In recognition of their causes, Truist is proud to donate $500 each to organizations that provide support for youth services and education.
