No. 2 Women’s Basketball takes down No. 15 Ole Miss in SEC home opener, 67-64.

The Longhorns improve their record to 17-0, the first time since the 1985-86 season.
AUSTIN, Texas – Jordan Lee led No. 2 Texas women's basketball (17-0) with 17 points and the Longhorns secured a win over No. 15 Ole Miss on Sunday at Moody Center for their conference home opener.
Lee led the charge with 17 points and four rebounds for the Longhorns. Madison Booker registered 15 points, six rebounds, and six assists while Breya Cunningham added 10 points and four rebounds in the win.
Lee opened the scoring for Texas after sinking a 3-pointer, finishing the first quarter with nine points while shooting 80 percent on field goals (4-for-5). The Longhorns stretched the lead with a 12-0 run and concluded the first quarter with a six-point lead. Texas closed out the first half 35-21 over Ole Miss, only allowing the Rebels to score four points in the second quarter.
Ole Miss gained momentum in the second half, shooting 61.5 percent on field goals and made it a three-point game for Texas at the final quarter. The Longhorns survived the fourth quarter with back-to-back baskets and the foul with Jordan Lee and Ashton Judd each making three-point plays for Texas.

· Texas improved to 17-0 on the season, the first time since the 1985-86 season.
· The Longhorns have won 35 straight games at Moody Center and improved to 60-5 all-time at Moody Center.
· The game against Ole Miss was sold out with an attendance of 10,133. It was the seventh game at Moody Center for women's basketball with an attendance over 10,000.
· Last time head coach Vic Schaefer opened the season 17-0 was 2015-16 at Mississippi State.
· Texas limited its opponent to single digits in a quarter for the 14th time this season.
· The Longhorns forced 16 turnovers over the Rebels and scored 20 points off them.
· Texas bench contributed 17 points from Kyla Oldacre's eight and Judd's nine.
· Rori Harmon recorded two steals and is now tied with Andrea Lloyd for second on the Longhorns all-time list for career steals with 332.
· Harmon tallied 10 assists for her sixth double digit steal game of the season.
