Junior collects fourth career weekly league honor.
AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Longhorns standout Amalia Villarreal was named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Villarreal delivered her second career brace in Texas' 2-1 comeback win over No. 21/18 Oklahoma.
After trailing in the opening half, the junior registered an equalizer in the 68th minute before mounting the game-winning goal less than 15 minutes later.
Villarreal totaled nine of the Longhorns' 20 attempts, with her final shot proving to be the difference.
The Lansing, Mich., native is the third Longhorn to earn SEC weekly honors in 2026, joining Bayliss Flynn (Aug. 17, Sept. 7) and Mya Brandon (Sept. 21).
