No. 11 Women’s Golf completes round one at Therese Hession Regional Challenge

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. — The No. 11 Texas women's golf team wrapped up the opening round of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge on Sunday at the Palos Verdes Golf Club.
Cindy Hsu and Farah O'Keefe, who are both on the ANNIKA Award Watch List for women's collegiate golfer of the year led Texas as each fired even par rounds of 71 in the first round of the tournament. Lauren Kim was one shot back with a 1-over 72.
As a team the Longhorns shot a team score of 6-over 290 and are tied for third place in the team standings. UCLA leads the field at 2-under par, Texas A&M is second at 2-over and Pepperdine and Texas are third at 6-over.
The Longhorns will resume play tomorrow at 12:12 p.m. CT in the second round of the tournament.
The Lineup
Farah O'Keefe made three birdies on her way to an even par 71 in the first round of the tournament.
Cindy Hsu carded four birdies for her round with three in her first six holes. Hsu shot even par 71 and is T7 on the leaderboard.
Lauren Kim made back-to-back birdies on holes five and six and carded a round of 1-over 72.
Selina Liao birdied holes five, 13 and 16 en route to a 5-over 76 in the first round of the tournament.
Angela Heo birdied the par-4, first hole and carded a round of 6-over 77.
Alisa Inprasit, competing as an individual carded a round of 6-over 77.
