No. 4 Women’s Basketball prevails on Senior Day over Mississippi State, 92-42

Longhorns record second game in a row with 10 or more 3-pointers in the victory.
AUSTIN, Texas – In front of 10,705 fans, including the Texas women's basketball 1986 national championship team and dozens of former players and on senior day, the Longhorns secured a 92-42 victory over Mississippi State on Sunday at Moody Center.
Madison Booker led Texas (26-3, 11-3) with 23 points shooting 8-12 (FG) and 3-3 (3FG). Rori Harmon tallied in 11 assists and Breya Cunningham helped defensively by recording 12 rebounds.
Jordan Lee scored 17 points as she went 5-of-8 from 3-point range. Ashton Judd added 11 for Texas and Aaliyah Crump scored 12 points for the Longhorns.
Justice Carlton scored the first points of the game with a layup. Texas then went on a 7-0 run to take the lead. The Longhorn defense forced the Bulldogs into four turnovers within two minutes, then went on an 8-0 run with their only disruption being a layup by Mississippi State. Texas held the Bulldogs to no field goals for just under the last six minutes of the quarter and continued their lead by going on another 5-0 run. The Longhorns forced Mississippi State into nine turnovers and ended the quarter, 24-8.
Teya Sidberry and Madison Booker started off the second quarter with two threes widening their lead. Texas then went on a 7-0 run going 4-5 in field goals. Throughout the rest of the half the Longhorns continued to extend their lead ending the quarter, 50-18.
In the first half Texas shot sixty-seven percent from the three-point line going 8-12, while also creating 17 turnovers for the Bulldogs. Booker led the team with 13 points, going 3-3 from the three-point line.
Ashton Judd started off the third quarter hot with a steal and a bucket. The Longhorns went on an 11-1 run which occupied three minutes of the quarter. Jordan Lee made her fifth three of the game making Texas 10-14 from the three-point line. Aaliyah Crump ended the quarter with a three finishing the third, 75-31.
Starting the last quarter the Longhorns went 4-for-4 in field goals helping Texas go on a 7-0 run. Texas held Mississippi State to no field goals for 4:46 of the game. The Longhorns dominated the game making the final score 92-42.
Up next the Longhorns will host Georgia on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 9:00 p.m. CT at the Moody Center. The game will be televised on SEC Network.

-Texas won its 41st straight game at the Moody Center and improved to 66-5 all-time in their home venue.
-The Longhorns improved to 72-7 in games that Madison Booker and Rori Harmon have both played.

-Texas's 32-point half time lead is the largest against a conference opponent this season, eclipsing the 31-point at the intermission against Auburn on January 8.
-The Longhorns' 50-point win is its second largest against a conference opponent this season, behind only the 61-point win against Auburn on January 8.
-Texas held a 39-11 advantage in points off turnovers and 32-20 in points in the paint.
-Texas got 40 of their 92 points from their reserve players.
-Aaliyah Crump reached double figures in scoring for the 10th time in 13 games.
-Jordan Lee notched double figures for the fifth consecutive game.
