Crump has been committed to serving her community in a variety of ways.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — In a continuing effort to recognize the accomplishments of student-athletes beyond the field of competition, the SEC once again highlighted a Community Service Team for women's basketball for the 2025-26 season. Texas freshman Aaliyah Crump was selected to the team.
This marks the 28th year for the SEC Community Service Team for women's basketball as well as for men's basketball. All league-sponsored sports have had a Community Service Team since 2004, with at-large teams for men's and women's sports being chosen from 1999-2003. The SEC began this concept with a football Community Service Team in 1994.
Being involved and giving back to her community is something that has been important to Texas freshman Aaliyah Crump starting at an early age. In high school Crump volunteered with Feed my Starving Children and Loaves & Fishes, a soup kitchen in Minneapolis. At Montverde she gifted gear, clothing and jackets to a group of boys on the soccer team and at Minnetonka she was a "big sister" for one of the youth teams. Coming to Texas, Crump wanted to continue to give back to her community. She made a special visit to Navarro High School and gifted their high school basketball team with shoes and gear. Crump also spent time with the kids making vision boards and inspiring them to chase their dreams.
