FORT WORTH, TEXAS – The No. 3 Texas Women's Basketball team improved to 35-3 this season and advanced to the NCAA Final Four for the fifth time in program history with a decisive 77-41 victory over No. 2 seed Michigan on Monday at Dickies Arena in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
Four Longhorns scored in double figures, led by Madison Booker's game-high 19 points, along with seven rebounds and one assist. Justice Carlton contributed 15 points, seven rebounds and one assist. Kyla Oldacre provided a double-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds and one assist while Breya Cunningham scored 11 points and seven rebounds.
Texas started the game with a perfect shooting percentage (9-for-9) from field goal range during the first 7:07 which included five players contributing to a 10-0 run. Texas built a 22-9 lead at the end of the first quarter, marking the 10th time this season the Longhorns limited their opponent to fewer than 10 points during the opening quarter.
Booker led Texas with 15 points and six rebounds during the first half as the Longhorns held a commanding 34-21 lead at the intermission.
Texas opened the fourth quarter with a 14-0 run as the Longhorns held a 36-18 advantage in paint points and outrebounded the Wolverines 49-32 for the game.
Up next, the Longhorns will face No. 1 seed UCLA in the NCAA Final Four in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, April 3 at 8:30 PM CT on ESPN.

-Texas advanced to the NCAA Women's Final Four for the fifth time in program history.
-Head coach Vic Schaefer becomes one of just 12 coaches to reach the Final Four at least four times, behind only Geno Auriemma (25), Pat Summitt (18), Tara VanDerveer (14), Leon Barmore (9), Muffet McGraw (9), Dawn Staley (7), Andy Landers (5) and Kim Mulkey (5). -Rori Harmon's 135 career wins tie Linda Waggoner (1976 – 77 through 1979-80) for second most wins in program history, trailing only Shay Holle, who recorded 138 wins from 2020-21 through 2024-25.
-With 19 points, Madison Booker now has 228 career points in the NCAA Tournament, eclipsing Beverly Williams (216) for second most in Texas history and behind only Clarissa Davis (261).
-Booker scored in double figures for the 36th time this season.
-Booker has scored 90 points during the first four games of this year's NCAA Tournament.
